The general storyline was about the male protagonist cooking late at night and encountering a series of vignettes about diverse urban dwellers, with the first two focusing on the pressures of office workers in Tokyo and their nighttime lives, while the last two centered on the male lead meeting the female lead during the process of opening a shop, and their story of getting to know and fall in love with each other.
With the help of the office workers featured in the first two vignettes, the male and female protagonists finally ended up together.
The overall cohesiveness of the story was quite decent, but Mirai kept throwing inexplicable glances his way frequently, which detracted from Beichuan Si's viewing experience.
