Mount Takao was a place the Chaos Gate had been investigating for some time, it seems we like to target areas with rich amounts of Mana and other Energies, specially Corrupted Domains where corrupted or dark energies have distorted space and created a domain where Yokai spawn like there's no tomorrow, usually their interior takes the shape of whatever was made over, with some changes. For example, an abandoned house would become huge and a labyrinth inside.
Sometimes a forest would become a dark forest maze full of wolves and bear monsters or Yokai, becoming a dangerous place where people can sometimes get lost and never return… Hence why is it important to take them down or control them. Of course, our organization couldn't care less about what happens to civilians, unfortunately. This is more for the sake of our profits.
