At the cavern's mouth, the Devil Crow soared above, rage burning in its glowing eyes. It roared, wings beating the air like a storm ready to tear everything apart.
Then, sensing a faint presence at the entrance, it dove like a missile.

Azgan vanished through the lair's mouth and shot into the night sky.
"Where do you think you're going? No one escapes my grasp while holding the egg! Give up and surrender!" The Devil Crow's eerie, hoarse voice chased him.
"Like hell I will!" Azgan shouted back, flapping his wings harder, heading toward the Ancient Trinket forest.
The chase stretched on for over thirty hours — a furious game of cat and mouse.
Both moved faster than sonic booms, tearing through the air.
Black flames lashed behind Azgan, driving him to desperation. He knew a single mistake would be his last.
Finally, the edge of the Ancient Trinket forest appeared.
Relief surged through him — but so did dread.
