Chapter 2 - I: CHARACTER CUSTOMIZATION

Her eyes subtly opened as she breathed. Her surroundings were all blacked out except for a single blue screen that flashed in her face.

[START NEW GAME]

She stared silently at the screen. She'd read so many stories like this before, but from where? Now that she thought about it... Who was she?

'Yes' was her only reply and the screen flashed out of existence. Only to then be replaced by another screen.

While thinking one option seemed to shine a golden light. 'Elves' she thought quietly.

[Elves have been selected as your race, You have completed the final part of your Character Customization.]

A bright light shone in Sparrow's eyes, once the light dimmed and receded a bright blue lake could be seen in front of her.

She appeared in a white dress, the front only came to her knees while the back came down to her heels, which was also where her golden hair stopped.

Her hair was styled with bangs that were cut perfectly and evenly so it came to just below her nose shrouding the top half of her face while the back came all the way down to her heels.

She removed the bangs from her eyes to reveal golden lashes and golden irises rimmed with amber on the outer edges.

When she did so she surveyed her surrounding her eyes stopping on a giant tree that stood at, at least, 190 meters, "A Hyperion," she muttered to herself, but the leaves were filled with different colors.

[Skill Gained: Observation]

[Sacred Hyperion:

209 meters tall

7,894 years old

A tree that survives of the mana of the ancient goddess Gaia.]

She looked at the transparent screens that had popped up and read them carefully. An old tree. She moved towards the tree carefully. Once she stood about a foot away she stopped as the bark of the tree began to morph.

She blinked and when she opened her eyes a woman stood before her with antlers protruding from her scalp. She was wearing a dress that looked liked one of those dresses you'd see in a documentary about a goddess.

Her eyes seemed to glow, and her skin was flawless. She stood at a staggering height of 6'4 to Sparrow's 5'11. 'Woah' The girl thought looking at the woman.

"Why have you come here elf. Beings of this world gave all been forbidden from stepping foot on this island yet you so boldly come anyways. Such audacity," the woman spoke like she was above everyone else with her nose raised to higher than normal.

"I don't actually know where I am," which actually came as a shock since she had gotten the pathfinder skill. Which didn't seem to work. What a rip off.

"Well I believe this, surprisingly," the woman seemed to be confused at why she believed her so easily, "I guess you're just that trustworthy," she looked at her suspiciously.

'Well I guess I am' Sparrow looked at the woman, "What is this place?" She asked genuinely curious.

"What is your name, girl?" Asked the woman asked, "My name is Mpyria," she smirked.

"Sparrow, my name is Sparrow," she replied. The woman looked at her surprised.

"Well isn't that a surprise. The name of this island is 'Sparrow's Requiem'. What part of the Elf Kingdom are you from?" Mpyria asked with shock present on her beautiful face.

"I don't really know, but I can't stay here, I must leave. I have a journey I must begin. Can you help me leave?"

Mpyria nodded, "I'll teleport you right away, but you must promise to come back and visit," She smiled. Once Sparrow nodded she snapped her fingers and the girl was gone.
