Flan spent his whole life in a hospital bed, watching, waiting, wasting away while the world moved on without him. He died young, surrounded by those who loved him, but with a heart full of regrets for all the things he never got to do. He should've been laid to eternal rest, but the cosmos had other plans. A celestial glitch spat his soul into the divine plane, throwing everything out of balance. To cover it up, the clerks in charge quietly slipped him into an “overflow world” and erased his name from the soul registry, hoping the gods wouldn't notice. In this new world, Flan is given the Soul Merge System: a strange ability that lets him absorb and combine the skills and traits of creatures he defeats. But every soul leaves behind a whisper in his mind, and the more he merges, the more voices plague his mind. But even with an OP skill like this, Flan’s not here to save kingdoms or slay demon lords. He just wants to live...really live. To walk where he couldn’t before, to drink with friends he hasn’t met yet, to chase sunsets and rest beneath starlit skies. This is his second chance.
